Casing Shirring
Casing shirring — the process of compression of a large piece of casing into the shape of a sleeve (shirred stick) for a further use on high-speed stuffers.

Due to integrity and effectiveness of the stuffing process the use of a shirred casing can considerably speed up the production process.

The use of shirred casing facilitates the process of casing preparation and reduces its consumption in the process sausages production.

Biostar offers shirring of any kind of sausage casings (including round casing) diameter ranging from 35 to 120 mm. Standard shirring length of a stick is 30 meters, but can be modified upon request.
